Proven Methods for Real Results

Have you tried traditional talk therapy but didn't see the change you were hoping for?

Maybe you...

  • Tried talk therapy but found yourself talking about the same thing each week without real relief

  • Are frustrated that you're not living the life you really want--enjoying relationships, family, friends, travel or moving up in your career

  • Know that there's more to who you are than your thoughts--and maybe this is an exciting or even scary thing to explore on your own.

  • Tried some other therapies, like EMDR, and they weren't a good fit for you

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. We'll find what works best for you.

Emotional Freedom Technique is an evidence-based approach that taps into your body's ability to heal itself

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), is sometimes called “tapping” — an evidence-supported approach that combines elements of cognitive and somatic therapy with tapping on specific acupuncture points to regulate the nervous system.

When we experience challenge or trauma, our brain’s threat circuits can stay on high alert, long after the danger (real or perceived) has passed. Even when we consciously know we’re safe, the body can continue to react with anxiety, fear, or distress. EFT works to shift this at a deep neural level — not just by managing symptoms, but by helping rewire the brain for lasting change.

EFT works by helping you access and release stuck emotional energy and unhelpful patterns stored in the body and mind, especially after trauma. It integrates the wisdom of Eastern energy systems (like meridians) with modern psychology to bring relief from emotional distress, negative thoughts, and even some physical symptoms.

EFT supports memory reconsolidation — the brain’s natural process of updating old emotional memories. By gently activating a distressing memory while tapping on acupressure points and introducing calm or new emotional information, EFT helps change the neural pathways associated with that memory. This means that what once triggered distress no longer brings up the same emotional or physiological charge.

In short, EFT works not just to manage symptoms, but to help rewire the brain for lasting change.

How does EFT work in therapy?

In sessions, I guide you to:
✅ Identify the negative emotions, thoughts, or body sensations connected to your concern or trauma.
✅ Use light tapping on acupressure points (such as the side of the hand, top of the head, or under the eye) while speaking or focusing on those feelings.
✅ Calm the fight-flight-freeze response so your brain and body can process the experience without overwhelm and rewire the neural pathways to change your response.

Research shows that EFT

  • Lowers cortisol (the stress hormone)

  • Reduces PTSD symptoms

  • Improves emotional resilience

EFT doesn't just work with your thoughts. It engages emotion, cognition, the physical body and energy system within a single session.
